RENO, Nev. - James A. Lekas of Reno lost his battle with cancer on Thursday (April 10, 2014).
He was born in Bradford, Pa., to Thomas and Dorothy Lekas in October 1948. Jim was a 1966 graduate of Bradford High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was deployed to Vietnam. He received a Purple Heart for injuries incurred.
Jim is survived by his mother, Dorothy Lekas; his brother, John (Debra) Lekas; his daughter, Angela; and two sons, Thomas and Travis; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Dorothy, We are very saddened to hear about Jim's passing. We are very glad we were able to visit with him in Reno at cousin Jim Smith's home. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Jim and family - I am saddened by your passing. You were always at the RTAA with a smile and a great attitude. Talking with you was always a highlight as you had your priorities in place, your family and your Yorkie. As I promised, if your Yorkie needs a home, I am there for her in your honor.
