EWING - Bettye Williams, 56, died on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, in West Windsor.
Born in Flemington, she graduated from Hunterdon High School. Betty was employed as a guard/counselor at the New Jersey State Youth Detention Center, Mercer County. She was a former member of Wayne Avenue Baptist Church.
Predeceased by her adoptive brother, Elijah Williams, she is survived by two sons, Antovan Williams (Shamyra Burton) and Tyrell Williams (Valentina Grant) of Princeton; three grandchildren, Tyrell II, Davante A. and Kayla Williams; her adoptive mother, Annie R. Brannon-Thompkins; stepsister, Margie Plummer; godmother, Mary Belnavis; one uncle, Ralph Cason; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, April 24, at Anderson Funeral Service, 300 N. Willow St., Trenton. Calling hours are from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
