Your mom was such a faithful and loyal member of Second Street and Wesley for so many years and was an influence on so many of us who grew up in such a wonderful church family. She is Home and at peace now, but will live on in our hearts and in the memories of those who were blessed to know her.

MY PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOUR MOM AS MY SECOND MOM DURING CHILDHOOD. SHE WAS ALWAYS THERE TO LISTEN TO ANYONE WHO NEEDED HER ADVISE. YOUR LOSS IS HEAVENS' GAIN. SHE IS NO LONGER IN PAIN AND NO LONGER HAS TO REMEMBER THOSE IMPORTANT THINGS IN LIFE THAT NOW ARE OF NO IMPORTANCE AT ALL. SHE IS WALKING THE STREETS OF GOLD WITH YOUR DAD AND HER BABIES SHE NEVER MET. I KNOW SHE IS TRULY HAPPY AND HAS FILLED THE PERFECTION SHE STRIVED SO HARD TO GAIN. AS TIME GOES BY REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES AND NOT THE LAST DAYS OF HER LIFE AS THIS WILL HELP YOUR HEART HEAL. TIME WILL HELP BUT GOD ALONE IS THE TRUE ANSWER TO YOUR ACHING HEARTS. MY LOVE IS WITH YOU ALL. KATHY HERRING

I am so saddened to hear of the loss of your mother, and our family friend for so many years. Knowing her devout faith and seeing her live it was all that a young child needed to follow. We at Second Street were blessed to know her. May her legacy be carried on by those she helped raise in the love of our Lord.

To the entire Avant family, it saddens me to hear of your loss. Tina and I will continue to offer prayers for strength and comfort. Knowing that any words I have will not ease your pain during this time, please know that we feel that this world has lost a great woman. I also know that now she is walkling the streets of gold with other loved ones. This world is worse off today without her here. The loss os someone who was part of a generation the likes of which we will never see again, is hard to understand. Prayers for His guidance and his blessings be with you all.
