WAPWALLOPEN — Edward S. Janison, 71, of Wapwallopen, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Celtic Health Care, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
He was born in Nanticoke on Dec. 11, 1942.
He was a son of the late Edward and Lillian (Kanjorski) Jachimczak.
Edward was a graduate of Nanticoke High School and served with the U.S. Navy. He was employed by Air Products in Hanover Township until his retirement.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife, the former Doris Walters; sister, Karen Bednarski.
Edward is survived by two sons, three grandchildren, a sister, two nieces and two nephews.
A blessing service for Edward will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley. Pastor Jack Rehill will officiate. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Friends may call 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
