Blanche D. Casey, 89
CLINTON — Mrs. Blanche Dawson Casey, 89, of 141 Guy Lane, died at her home, Tuesday, May 6, 2014.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Weeks officiating. Burial will follow in the Faison Cemetery.
Born in 1925 in Sampson County, Mrs. Casey was the daughter of the late Guy and Sallie Wood Dawson. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and a retired school teacher. She was the widow of William 'Billy" Darden Casey.
She is survived by three daughters, Karen Kusmez and husband, Mesut, of Chapel Hill, Sallie Woodard and husband, Vick, of Newton Grove and Beth Kephart and husband, Mark, of Kernersville; one son, Guy Casey and wife, Jennifer, of Clinton; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
They will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at her home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Piney Grove Baptist Church, 1818 N. McCullen Road, Faison, NC 28341 or to the Eastern Baptist Association, P.O. Box 712, Warsaw, NC 28398.
