Behr, Gary S. (1953-2014)
Gary S. Behr, age 60, formerly of Plymouth, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday (May 15) in Vulcan, MI.
He was born on November 29, 1953 in Sheboygan, WI, a son of the late Arno and Henrietta (Fischer) Behr.
He attended St. John Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1972.
He worked at A & P Cheese (now known as Great Lakes Cheese) for over 30 years and also worked at Kees Manufacturing in Elkhart Lake for several years.
On November 25, 1972 he married Wendy Larsen at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
Gary enjoyed fishing, bird hunting with his Irish Setters, traveling to Alaska, taking wildlife pictures, going to Road America and spending time with his loving family.
He was also an avid Badgers fan.
Survivors include: two daughters: Vicki (Cory) Stoney of Plymouth, Carrie (Jeremy) Niedert of Plymouth.
Five grandchildren: Paige and Sommer Stoney and Gabe, Sophia and Sadie Niedert. One brother: Larry (Sarah) Behr of Plymouth and One sister: Debbie O'Brien of Plymouth.
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister: Victoria Behr and brother-in-law: Edward O'Brien.
Following Gary's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place on Tuesday (May 20) at 6:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Lay Minister Dale Miller will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery at a late date.
Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3:00 P.M. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Gary's name.

I'm so sorry yo here of Gary's passing, it's unreal to me! I worked with him at A&P and GLC, we had some good times there,and he had a good sense of humor. We will all miss him!
