Foster Wilbur Veety, 88, of Falls Twp., died Tuesday morning at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore. He was the husband of Olga Koval Veety. The couple had been married for more than 63 years.
Born in Falls, son of the late William and Lena Fahs Veety, he was a lifelong farmer who was committed to his farm and providing for his family. He also enjoyed hunting. He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, Falls.
Also surviving are a son, Foster William Veety and his wife, Roxann, Falls Twp.; and three grandchildren Leanna, Samantha and Craig Veety, all of Falls Twp.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Louise Veety; and a sister, Ellen Richards.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will follow in Newton Cemetery.

I was so sorry to read of Foster's death. I'll always remember the summers when Susan and I would help on the farm to get in the hay. Hipe was always kidding us and making us laugh. He will be missed. You are in our prayers.
