Johanna R. Scarpitti
AGE: 70 • New Castle
Ding dong the witch is dead, but the memory of our mother lives on. Johanna Scarpitti, age 70, of New Castle, DE, passed away unexpectedly August 1, 2014 at her summer home.
Johanna was a kind-hearted woman; a loving mother and wife who spoiled her grandchildren without complaint. She was sweet with a side of zest. Johanna loved the beach, boating, kayaking and that incredible drink from The Lazy Lizard. She will be incredibly missed by all who knew her...whole bunch.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Joseph; her children: William Scarpitti, Nicole (Vaughn) LeSage, and Assunta (Mark) Lucy; and grandchildren: Jacquelyn (Sean) Rash, Nathan, Dylan, Cathryn, Anna, Gillian, Joseph, Bryan and Courtney.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, August 8, 2014 in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702. A second visitation will be held in the funeral home the following morning, Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 10-11 AM. A service in celebration of Johanna's life will follow at 11 AM. Burial will be private. For directions or to leave an online condolence, please visit www.strano-feeley.com

Johanna, when you get upstairs, look for a guy named Lefty. First, give him a hug for me. Second, both of you enjoy revisiting your favorite movie.
