Hodgson, Robert I. "Bob" July 4, 1926 - October 12, 2016. Peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday October 12, 2016 at the age of 90 years, of Glendale. Devoted husband of JoAnne (nee Johnson). Loving father of Cheryl (Tom) Toeller, Lisa Casolino and the late David (Stefanie). Proud grandpa of Alyssa, Christa, Nathan and Cooper . Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bob was born in Iron Mountain, MI to Crissy and William Hodgson. He was the youngest of 6 children; Mabel, Rachel, Harold, Alice and Ruth all of whom proceeded him. Bob was a veteran, serving as a Corporal in the US Army. He loved to share his 4th of July birthday along with America's celebration with his family and friends. He was the founder of the Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity Chapter at his alma mater Michigan State University. Bob received recognition for his 55 years as a member of the Damascus Lodge Masonic Temple, #290. Bob was Vice President of Meiroff-Kahn Bonding and Insurance Company. When he retired, he enjoyed traveling and relaxed summers at their lake home. He was a devoted sports enthusiast and loyal Packer fan. He was known for his green thumb and bountiful backyard vegetable garden. Bob and JoAnne were married for 60 years and enjoyed traveling the world together. Bob lived his life as a devoted Christian and servant of God. His generous heart and spontaneous wit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A life celebration will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 11:00AM until time of service at 12Noon at Wisconsin Memorial Park-Family Center, West North Chapel, 13235 W. Capitol Drive.

I always enjoyed getting together with Bob and Joanne when in town Glen Ellyn. he was always so personable and interested in our family and lives . He had a great sense of humor, such a fun spirit and a pleasure to be around. his eyes would light up around his family, you could just see his sense of pride in them and his strong love for family. he will be missed.
