RUTH LOUISE BELL/GLETTLER
(nee Kurtz)
Ruth Bell, late of Regina, SK, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 96 years of age. Born on the family farm near Tribune, SK on August 28, 1920, she was predeceased by her parents George and Clara Kurtz and numerous sisters and brothers. She is survived by one sister, Aletha Adler of Millbrae, CA, USA. Ruth married Ernie Glettler after WWII and took up residence in Regina in the early 1950's. Ernie passed away in 1970. Ruth is survived by her children, Randy (Marlene) Glettler and Debra Glettler. Ruth had a special place in her heart for her two granddaughters, Mandy (Tim) Glettler and Nicole (Rod) Williams, along with her two great-grandchildren, Isaac and Nya Williams. In 1980, Ruth married Art Bell. Art died in 2008. She is survived by Art's children, Glenn (Georgina), Elsie (Lorna and family), Tim (Tracey), Peter (Al and family). Ruth resided at Queen Victoria Estates until her passing and made many good friends there. She had a special friend Jack Thompson. They shared many activities together like watching the Blue Jays or attending Jack's daughter Dianne's concerts. Jack died in 2012. She enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and cribbage. She had a lucky streak winning at the casino or at card night. At Ruth's request, a private family interment will take place at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Ruth's memory to the Palliative Care Unit, Palliative Care Services, Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, Sask. S4T 1A5.
