Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Oct 16. Born May 30, 1936 in Minneapolis, MN to Dr. Harlan A. and Esther Alexander. Graduated from Roosevelt High School, Minneapolis, MN in 1954. Graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School and interned at Presbyterian-St Luke's Hospital in Chicago, IL. US Air Force Veteran stationed at Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, Tx. He and his wife Marcy returned to the Chicago area after his service was up, where they settled in Evanston and raised 3 children. Harlan had a private practice in Evanston and worked at Michael Reese Hospital, Riveredge Hospital and finished off his long career just this summer at Aunt Martha's Youth Service Center. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother David and his brothers wife Sue. Survived by Marcy and his three children. Shawna (Kevin) Roberts, Harlan Guy (Chuka) and Heather (Ken) Hollaar. And his grandchildren Aerik Fike, Griffin, Devra, Paoli, Starbuck, and Golden Roberts, Maxwell and Leilani Alexander. Memorial service will be on Saturday October 22nd at 4pm,visitation from 3-4 Ahlgrim Funeral Home 415 S Buesching Rd Lake Zurich, Il 60047
