Adolfo F. Imson
Chesapeake - Adolfo Flores Imson, 74, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Adolfo was born in 1942 in the Philippines to the late Louis and Enrica Imson. He was the oldest of 6 children and the bread winner of his family. He served the United States proudly with 20 years of service in the US Navy, retiring as a Petty Officer First Class, E6 and then went on to retire from the US Postal Service after 23 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a devoted parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, participated with the San Lorenzo Dance Group and a loyal Redskins fan.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving and caring wife of 48 years, Milagros, children; Ailleen (John), Louie (Shavonne) and Joel (Sophia), 4 grandchildren; Allegra, Gabriel, Brycen and Maliyah.
Adolfo's funeral will be Thursday at 11 AM at St. Gregory Catholic Church. The Novena/Wake will be Wednesday from 5- 8 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk and the committal service will be Saturday at 2:30 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Please visit www.woodlawngroup.com to leave a message of comfort for the family.
