Dolores S. Fox
Funeral Services for Dolores S. Fox, 87, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00AM Friday, January 13, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph A. Martina, Jr. officiating and Con Celebrants Rev. Job Edathinatt Scaria and Rev. Sebastian Kallarackal. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Dolores was born on August 30, 1929 in Redfield, South Dakota and passed away on January 10, 2017 in Monroe, LA. Dolores was married to Eugene H. "Gene" Fox on November 6, 1948 and then moved to Monroe, LA in 1965. She was a school teacher at Our Lady of Fatima for over 25 years. She was a devoted and longtime member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. Delores was active in the Fatima Pioneers, Altar Society, and nearly every other aspect of Fatima activities. She loved watching and feeding the birds and squirrels from her kitchen window. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Eugene H. "Gene" Fox; and sister, Lynda Deloy.
Survivors include her son, Joey Fox and wife Mary; grandchildren, Matt Fox and wife Meagan, Brett Fox, Chris Fox and wife Gabby, Kurt Fox and wife Tori, Conrad Fox and wife Erica; great-grandchildren, Jaxson Fox, Jetton Fox, Levi Fox, and Hailey Fox; sister, Joanne Deloy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Walker, Andrew Scurria, Jody Lofton, Ed Dinger, Chris Fox, Kurt Fox, and Matt Fox. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Mike Sampognaro and Dr. Greg Sampognaro.
Visitation will be held at 5:00PM until 7:00PM Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe with a Vigil Wake at 6:00PM.
Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society in care of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

Mrs. Fox was my daughter's Kindergarten teacher. She said Mrs. Fox was the best teacher she ever had, and her favorite. May God bless and comfort the family and may Mrs. Fox rest in peace.
