Edwina Olive Coleman (Peanut) Henderson entered into eternal rest at her home at the age of 77. She was the wife of the late Lambert (Man) Henderson, daughter of the late Adie Coleman and Ernetsine Sylva Coleman. Mother of Denise Collins (Calvin), Lischa Eaglin (Andrew), Deiadre Allen (Wilbert III) and step daughter of Lannette Mackritis of San Antonio, TX. Preceded in death by 1 sister, Nona Coleman and 3 brothers, Edward and Glen Coleman and Donald Hampton. She was the godparent of Tracy Duckworth and Melinda Davis Paker. She attended L.B. Landry High School and retired from the VA Hospital as a Supervisor in the dietary department in 2003. She leaves her children, 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends to cherish her memory. Family, friends, pastor and members of Greater Providence Baptist Church, and staff of JoEllen Smith Convalescent Home are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, January 14, 2017 for 1:30 P.M. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1124 LeBoueuf Street, Algiers, LA 70114. Visitation will begin for 12:30 P.M. Pastor Nathaniel Jimcoily, officiating.
