SALAMANCA - George Hogle, 61, of Salamanca, died early Friday morning (Jan. 13, 2017) at Olean General Hospital.
Born on Oct. 7, 1955, in Salamanca, he was the son of the late Norman and Betty Mitchell Hogle. He was married Sept. 14, 2003, in Allegany State Park, to the former Dora Kelley, who survives.
Mr. Hogle was an Elvis Presley fan and once worked security at Graceland. He was also known as a "junk collector."
Surviving besides his wife are three sons, LeRoy Hogle of Gifford, Pa., Jason Hogle of Albion, Ty Hogle of St. Marys, Pa.; three daughters, Betty Hogle of Salamanca, Daisy Matya of Olean and Angel Nichols of Cattaraugus; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Diane Hogle and Frances Hogle, both of Little Valley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Dorothy Hogle.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.
