Harold A. "Mike" Robinson, 86, of Leechburg, passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017. He was born June 16, 1930, in Arnold, to Edward and Katherine (Lemon) Robinson. Upon returning from serving in the Korean War, Mike began driving cross country for various companies, and later worked for Royal Flush Sanitation. Several years later, he began to work alongside his wife running the carousel at Pittsburgh Mills Mall. In his spare time, he enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events, cooking, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed attending services at North Apollo Church of God. Mike is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sue (Coulter) Robinson; two sons, Kurtt (Julieanne) Robinson, of Easton, and David (Lisa) Robinson of Apollo; one daughter, Mary K. (Thomas) Kuretich, of Irwin; one son-in-law, Steve Prugar; stepson, John (Kathy) Coulter, of Olean, N.Y.; two stepdaughters, Brenda (Christopher) Milliman, of Vandergrift, and Barbara (Anthony) Ravotti, of Sarver; eight grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Edna Crooks, of Apollo, and Anita McCutcheon, of Springdale; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his first wife, Sara Jane (Ralston) Robinson; a daughter, Marilyn Prugar; three brothers, Delbert, Charles, and Larry; three sisters, Patty (in infancy), Roberta Ament and Lorraine Newell.
Friends welcomed by his family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at CLAWSON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main St., Leechburg (724-842-1051), where funeral ceremonies will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, officiated by Pastor Robert Shallenberger and Pastor Lee Rupert. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park, 104 Melwood Road, Lower Burrell, with military rites. A luncheon will be held at the North Apollo Church of God following burial ceremonies.
