Bruce George
AGE: 79 • Middletown
Bruce George, 79, of Middletown, NJ, died on February 12, 2017 at his home in Middletown, NJ. He was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Middletown most of his life. Bruce worked as an Executive for Bell Telephone retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Old Village fire Co. and Community Fire Co. and was Middletown Fire Chief for 5 years from 1981 to 1986. Bruce was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Frances Dillon George,of Middletown, NJ daughter, Lisa George of Middletown, NJ; four sons, Kevin George of Fla, Brian George of Middletown, NJ, Jeff George of Middletown, NJ, Daniel George of Middletown, NJ; 7 grandchildren, Jessica, Jeffrey, Lindsay, Adam, Alec, Emma, and Brenna; 2 great grandchildren, Benjamin, and Rosemary; .
Bruce was preceded in death by brother, Richard George, and his parents, Adam and Helen George.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday during the evening hours at the funeral home.

I worked with Bruce and he was a fun, non-presumptive leader ovrer a very profitable sales division, a leader, and a good guy to a young buck who did not know his way. He was patient and tolerant of me as I learned my way and made mistakes, A career later, Bruce helped me become a a successful executive n the tech space. God Bless, and thank you, Bruce.
