Herman hired me fresh out of college and gave me a chance, he spent the next few years helping me at every turn broadening my knowledge and truly displaying what a leader should be. He always made sure I had the tools and training to do a great job. I've carried those lessons forward but have remained indebted to him. He was an amazing boss, mentor and friend. As an educator he always had the kids in mind when making decisions. He was an active hobbyist; he had a love for hot rods and was truly a great craftsman. I will miss him but will never forget him. Thank you Herman from the bottom of my heart.

Thanks for taking a chance on me as a new teacher. I really enjoyed working with you and it's taken a long time to find anyone close to your leadership style that I can truly enjoy working under.
