Jean Southwell Cook
AGE: 91 • Fords, Formerly of Edison
Jean Southwell Cook passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at her home in Fords. She was 91 years old.
Born in Cherry Ridge, PA, she resided in Edison before moving to Fords three years ago.
Mrs. Cook was awarded the Lifetime Appreciation Award from the Paralyzed Veterans Association and the Veterans Through Volunteer Services Award; and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.
She was predeceased by her husbands, John Southwell in 1983 and Edward T. cook in 2016; two sons, Robert and Thomas Southwell; thirteen brothers and sisters; and two grandsons. Surviving are her children, Joyce Uhrig of Edison and John Southwell of Woodbridge; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com) 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. Interment will follow in Clover Leaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
