Stephen Krysa Obituary

Steve passed away on March 13, 2017, peacefully at his home after a long illness with cancer.

He was born on July 19, 1953, to Stephen Sr., and Genevieve (Pucah) Krysa, the third of four children. Preceding him in death are his parents, his grandmother, and two sisters.

He was married to the love of his life, Sue (Stockinger) Krysa for 39 years, who survived him, along with a brother, and five children: Rhiannon (Krysa) Dennis, Kelly (Howard) Reddell and husband, Clark, Wendy (Howard) Mansfield and husband, Craig, Shari Howard, and Shawn Krysa and wife, Amanda. Also, five grandchildren: Eric Howard (Stephanie Williams), Nick Pierce, Gunnar Reddell, Parker Krysa and Preston Krysa, and many good friends.

He was a 1971 graduate of East High School in Kansas City, Mo. He worked in commercial construction for 33 years before retiring in 2007 as a Field Superintendent for Allied Construction. He was a "union man," a member of Carpenters Union 1127, and would never cross a picket line!

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching all kinds of sports on TV. He loved his dogs and cats, especially his beloved furry friend of 16 years, Dash.

It was his request to be cremated. He did not want a funeral, though a private memorial service may be held at a later time.

The family wants to thank Chris from Village Hospice for all his assistance and care. Many thanks to our church family, The First Christian Church of Buckner, and our minister Chris Williams, for all the support and prayers.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Great Plains SPCA, Furry Kids, Animal Kind, or any other shelter for animals.

Not sure what to say?

It´s been 6 long years without you daddy and I feel like it was just yesterday that you died. The pain is still real. The loss is still real. There is so much I want to tell you and I want you to be here for your great grandkids. You have 2 now. I pray for a heaven. Until then, I´ll just wait here on earth with the memories I have until I see you again.
Love your baby girl

I hunted with my grandfather, Joe Wilson, Chuck Smith and Steve as a kid.

Always thought the world of him.

Hope the three of them are together again.
