Dona Lynn Wright - September 14, 1953 – April 12, 2017
Dona Passed away after a three year battle with ovarian cancer. She was a resident of Manhattan Beach. She was a tireless fighter against her cancer, but in the end she could not escape the ravages of this vile disease. She will be remembered by many in the South Bay as an educational advocate for special needs children as a paralegal with the law firm of Wyner & Tiffany. She was also a strong proponent and practitioner of physical fitness and nutrition through her workouts with her trainer, Trace Lankford.
She leaves behind her husband, Rob Wright, her mother Janet Ashe, her children Carissa Cimorelli and Daniel Cimorelli, her son in law, David Hofmann, and her son's girlfriend, Michelle Veintimilla. In addition, her step-children Brian Wright of Minneapolis and Andrew Wright of Elk Grove, their wives, Becky Wright and Heather Wright, grandchildren Jacob Wright and Simon Wright, plus Chad Andre, Kendall Wright and Isabella Wright.
She was also loved by countless cousins and true friends throughout the country.

I met Dona at the gym earlier this year, and though our encounter was brief, she was a bright, shining light of inspiration. I will remember her fondly. May you find comfort in your memories of her and her legacy that will live on.

We have known Dona since our kids were in school together in Agoura Hills; and have known Rob nearly 37 years. Recognizing they could be an ideal match, we invited them out to dinner to meet each other 27 years ago. Clearly, we got it right! Dona and Rob were perfect together! It is incredibly unfair that cancer has taken Dona away at such a young age, leaving a huge void in so many lives, especially Rob's, Carissa's, Danny's and her mom, Janet's.
While her stature was small; she had a huge heart and incredible strength. Her fight against cancer was monumental and inspirational. The information and personal experience she shared during her battle is invaluable and will have a profoundly far reaching impact on so many friends' and families' health.
Thank you, Dona, for your selflessness and love. You will be forever in our hearts and we find peace knowing that you are now pain free.
Rob, Carissa & Danny...please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Robert and family,
I have only just learned of Dona's passing and am so sorry. I have always thought of her as a delightfully happy and positive person with a great sense of humour. I will always remember Harry coming home and telling me about this beautiful lady sunbathing by the pool all those years ago! You loved each other very much and have built up many happy memories, so altho you will miss her, just keep remembering all those happy times.
If there is a Memorial service please let me know. I , Dionne and Natalie are so sorry for your loss.

Dear Robert-
I just heard from our La Leche League friends about Dona. I haven't seen or spoken with her in many years but I remember her as a tenacious woman with a beautiful heart. I heard that she fought a long and difficult battle with this disease-never giving up. This does not surprise me. I am so sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace.

Dear Danny and Carissa, I was so saddened to read of the passing of your wonderful mother. I remember the day that she walked into my office. She was so excited to find out about Mira Costa and the programs that were offered for both of you. She was laughing, hopping around and just filled with so much energy, I knew that you both would be very special and great additions to Mira Costa. I loved that she moved forward to guiding other parents as advocates for their children. She was certainly a woman on a mission and she accomplished so much for so many. Please know, that I have met many mothers who wanted the best for their children but your mom wanted you to do your best and accomplish what you pursued with all that you had to offer. I am happy to say that she brightened my life and I wish both of you the best. My sincere condolences to your family and those who loved her. God Bless all of you. Sincerely, Barbara Alexander

I met Dona when she lived in Agoura Hills, next door to my friends the Kent family. Always feisty, with a huge heart, well thought out, always educated on whatever subject she pursued. She touched many lives and will be missed and remembered by many. Wishing Dona and her family peace.

Once in a great while a person walks into the world and makes it a better place. Dona was that person. I cannot count the amount of children who now have bright futures, due to Dona's tireless advocacy. It was an honor to work beside her.
I will miss her bright smile and her ability to always know the right thing to say.
Heaven has gained another angel.
