STANDWOOD -- Deborah A. "Deb" Becker, 65, of Stanwood, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018. She was born June 11, 1953, in Oregon, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Sr. and Nancy (Messenger) Krueger. Deb graduated from White Cloud High School in 1971. She married James Becker on Aug. 15, 1986, and together they made their home in Stanwood.
Deb was employed by Evart Products, retiring in 2016. She was a member of the UAW Local 2270 and was on the Allocations Committee for the Mecosta/Osceola United Way. Deb loved working in her flower gardens, cooking incredible meals and fishing on the river. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her husband, family and grandchildren.
Deb is survived by her husband of 32 years, James Becker; two sons, Michael (Susan) Price and Benjamin (Duckyoung) Becker; four grandchildren, Michael, Alyssa, Romi and Rylan; one great-grandson, Karter; mother, Nancy Krueger; three siblings, Susan Quick, Charles Krueger Jr. and Vicki (Frank) Blain; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Krueger Sr.; brother, Allen Krueger; and brother-in-law, Steven Quick.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Kaye Ferguson-Patton officiating. The family will greet friends from noon until services at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Deborah's name to the Mecosta/Osceola United Way.
