Jan Langford was my Church History professor at Southeastern. He had a gift for teaching, and has been my gold standard for teaching critical thinking skills. I'll never forget him.

Jan was perhaps the best Bible teacher at Wonder Book Camp during the 10 years I was there. He was and is greatly missed.
Since my own sweet Mother's passing I have come to realize much more clearly that the reality of Heaven is just as much a matter of our basic Christian faith as our belief in the existence of God and Christ.
If we say we believe in Christ, we must believe that what He has told us is true about life after death in Heaven for all true believers.
In light of Heaven's actual existence and sure rewards, we can be happy for the gain of our loved ones' who have put their trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, despite the sadness of our loss.
We can also be greatly comforted by looking forward to our reunion relatively soon with all those in the Lord who have gone on before us.
May God give His blessing and comfort as we pray to Him, the God of our fathers and mothers, and put our full faith and trust in His Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the only One Who can give us eternal life.

To Libby and family of Jan Langford. I express my deepest condolences to all of you. Jan was a great man and will be deeply missed. I know there are no words to properly comfort you except to know that Mr. Langford is in the presence of Jesus our Savior. There is no greater comfort than that, and the hope we will see him again because we also know Jesus as our Savior and Lord. God bless you in His matchless love and comfort, Love, Richard Saito, student of Mr. Langford's, Southeastern Bible College, 1980.

I had Jan Langford as a World History teacher, Fall 1965. His methodology of teaching inspired me to learn World History but also when I came back from Vietnam and attended college again in 1971, I used his methods to excel with Honors. Later at Texas A & M, then University of Kentucky and finally University of Montana Western, I used his teaching techniques for all the calls I taught Physical Meteorology. I did have his wife Robbie as an English teacher. He had a sense of humor and was an excellent photographer.
