Scott, Donna 11/20/1950 - 5/18/2020 Kent City Donna Jean Scott, age 69, passed away peacefully Monday, May 18, 2020 at her home with family at her side. She was born November 20, 1950 in Grand Rapids to Kenneth and Marjorie (Forner) Thorne. She graduated from Sparta High School and went to Muskegon Community College where she received her L.P.N. and graduated with Honors. She married Mark Scott during the summer of 1971 in Sparta, Mi. She and Mark had 10 dogs that she considered her children. Donna is survived by her sisters, Sandra and Bruce Moerman; Joy Bruce; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Mark; brother, Fredrick Thorne; brother in law, Clyde Bruce. As Donna had wished, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Aug 7th at 11:00am at Rogers Park in Sparta, Mi. Social distancing will be encouraged. A burial service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, in Fremont at 2:00 p.m.; family and friends are welcome to attend.
