Beatrice Nosenzo Obituary

Beatrice E Nosenzo
Birth Dec 1, 1921 Death Jan 22, 2021. Beatrice "Bettye" Nosenzo of Middletown, CT passed away peacefully on January 22, 2021.
Bettye was 99. She enjoyed a long, full life filled with love of family and friends. She will always be remembered for her giving personality and warm smile. Her sense of humor and positive
attitude served her well throughout her life especially at times when laughter was indeed the best medicine. Bettye loved spending time with her family and listening to all types of music.
She spent many happy hours in her back room, quilting and doing craft projects. Bettye worked at Bloomingdales for many years until her retirement. A faithful person, Bettye loved to help
out at her church no matter what the cause. Her love for God was the source of her strength. She served as a deacon at the First Presbyterian church in Stamford, CT. Bettye was always
willing to lend a hand, helping out at ice cream socials or the famous annual strawberry festival at the Third Congregational Church in Middletown. She highly valued her independence and
her strong inner resilience aided her in her long life's journey.
She was born in southwestern PA and moved to Stamford, CT in 1947 after she married her husband, Albert Nosenzo, who predeceased her. Bettye lived in Stamford until moving to
Middletown in 2007. Bettye and Al raised three sons who gave them much joy and whom they were very proud of. In turn, their three sons feel so blessed to have had such exceptional
parents. They are dearly missed.
Bettye is survived by her three married sons Donald (Yuly) of Youngsville, NC, Carl (Petra) of Osterville, MA and Albert (Cheryl) of Southington, CT. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and her sister Dorothy Gamble of Fremont, CA. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Frances Trimbath, her sisters Frances Phillians, Ruth Ball and her brother Donald Trimbath.
When Bettye moved to Middletown her journey of faith led her to the Third Congregational Church where she found close friends and warm fellowship which she so treasured. In light of this her family asks that in lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation to the church in her memory.
Al and Bettye's ashes will be interred at the Connecticut Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown.
A memorial service will be held at a future date due to safety concerns surrounding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Albert, Carl, Donald and family,
I'm so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. She will be missed by all. I remember as kids when we would all get together in the summer for picnics and draw names for Christmas. Your Mother always made me laugh. Talking to your Mom on the phone these past few years was like getting a warm hug. I'm so grateful to have had her in my life.
Love to you all,
Elaine Dyer

I remember Aunt Betty’s trips to see her sister Ruth Ball (my grandmother ) in Los Angeles. It’s great to know she was involved at her church as was her sister Ruth. Betty always had a warm smile and I always enjoyed getting to see her though it was only a handful of times. I’m glad she got to live a long life and I send my sympathies to her friends and family back home.
