Patricia Weigler Obituary

Patricia A. Weigler (Trish), 56, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 6, 2008. She was a loving, devoted, kind, compassionate and generous wife and friend. She was born in California and while growing up, traveled throughout the United States with her family. Trish later served honorably and with pride with the Navy and Coast Guard during the Vietnam era. She met and married her husband while he was stationed in California. They traveled extensively in the United States and Panama and finally settled in Phoenix in 1992. Trish was a beautiful woman with a wonderful, warm smile and had a laugh that would brighten your day. Her many talents and interests included knitting, weaving, sewing, quilting, reading, music, cooking, crafts, drawing, painting and watching movies. She communicated with many friends on the Knitter's Review Forum and Ravelry on the internet as "AZKNITTER". She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Bob of Phoenix; father-in-law, Bob Sr. and brother-in-law, Jason of Burleson, Texas. She loved life and animals, especially dogs and cats. Trish was loving, selfless and generous by offering to save and enhance the lives of others through the gift of organ and tissue donation, thereby touching many lives. She had a full and wonderful life and will be truly missed by her family and friends and long remembered for her kindness, sense of humor, generosity, strength, relationships with family and friends and her love for everyone around her. Trish's private memorial and visitation occurred on Tuesday, March 11, 2008. The family would be very grateful for any donations to be made in Trish's name to the Arizona Humane Society, 1521 W. Dobbins Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85041.

Hello My Beloved Trish,

Today we would have been married 27 years. We really had a great 26 years together and I just want you to know that I love and miss you so very much. I wanted to say "Happy 27th Anniversary" and that you are in my heart forever. I know that Dad and Jason sends their love and wishes to you as well. I Love You Sweetheart. I'll be celebrating our anniversary like we did so many times together at "Haus Murphys" in downtown Glendale. Tonight I will be raising a glass to you and the wonderful memories we shared together. Thank you for being you and all of the loving things you did for me and for us.

Until we meet again my love,

Your Loving Husband, Bob

Bob, I have been trying to find you to express my deepest sorrow for your loss. I think fondly on the times we would talk and all you talked about was Trish, showing pictures. I'm so glad you had a best friend and soulmate. You so richly deserve to be happy and loved. You found your soulmate-not a lot of folks get that lucky. She still is, and you are still loved, she is your guardian angel now.

Trish, we never met, but I work with Bob at the Police Dept. Thank you for being so kind and good to him, being his friend and enriching his life beyond belief. We'll take care of him until he gets there. Save him a soft spot.

Whenever Trish posted a message on KR I knew it would be informative, funny or both. I took it for granted that she would always be there, which is why I'm so sad she's been taken away so suddenly.

You will certainly be missed, Trish.

Trish-you would be so proud of Bob. He has earned so many friendships and always leaves folks better than he found them! I know you are saving him a place, but just know we still need him here! He continues to work his magic on all of us. Thank you for all you did for him and for sharing him with us. You still inspire and move him - your spirit renews him. I wish I could have known you, it shows in Bob how wonderful you are. You are in such a fantastic place, but know we'll take good care of Bob until you meet again.

Trish was one of the first people to welcome me to KR. Her posts always made me laugh (I had to wipe my computer screen a few times because of her!) and her sense of humor helped defuse many heated arguments. I will always remember her warmth and generosity.
