Charles Nachiem Obituary

Charles L. Nachiem died Nov 11, 2007. From an early age he loved anything with wheels on it. As he grew, the roar of a powerful engine intrigued him. He was a man of many talents, he drew, fished, and was always looking forward to his next new adventure. He never met a person he didn't like and always had a story or experience to share. During WWII he served in the US Army Air Forces as a B-17 Pilot, where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross. He founded the non profit Eastside Recovery Center in Bellevue, WA. In 1989 he retired and the organization later became a part of Therapeutic Health Services, the Eastside Branch. He never talked about being a member of the Greatest Generation, or helping a recovering alcoholic but he would talk about cars, not just any cars. Only General Motors products. At the time he retired, age 80, he was the longest standing GM salesman, and Top Salesman of the Year. Charles was blessed to have married the love of his life, Vivian. They shared 41 years of the travels and trials of life.
