Patricia Mudgett Obituary

Family-Placed Death Notice

Patricia (Trish) Mudgett nee Dailey, 45, of Duluth, died Saturday April 7, 2007 after a brief illness. Trish was born March 3, 1962 in Gainesville, Florida. She grew up in Williston, FL., attended Auburn University and graduated from the University of West Florida with a degree in System Science. While attending UWF she met her husband, Don Mudgett, who was attending Aviation Officer Candidate School at the Pensacola Naval Air Station. They were married October 10, 1987. Trish collected friends everywhere she went, she was the glue that kept them together, and in touch with each other. She was a beloved daughter, wife and mother, a cherished sister, and a devoted friend to many all around the world. She was a valued employee of McKesson, a dedicated Troop Leader for Girl Scout Brownie Troop 1449, and a faithful member of Duluth First United Methodist Church. Trish's number one hobby was writing. She was known for her poems, and she was writing a book of stories and memories of her growing up in the South. She worked in Technical Customer Support; she not only loved the work, but excelled in the field. She was preceded in death by her mother Marguerite Dailey of Williston, Florida. She leaves behind her husband of 19 years, Donald F. Mudgett; their three children Rachel, Matthew and Hannah; sisters Celia (Carl) Dole, Margaret (James) Neyman and Juliana (Scott) Minium; brother James (Janet) Dailey, Jr.; seven nieces and nephews; and her father James Dailey, Sr. The funeral will be held 2:00 pm Friday April 13, 2007, with Rev. C. Kay Fuino officiating at Duluth First United Methodist Church, and burial to follow at Peachtree Memorial Park, Norcross. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made to any of the following; a fund being set up by McKesson Provider Technologies for Trish and Don's children, (for details regarding please call (404)338-2967 after April 13, 2007); her Girl Scout Troop (1449) or Cub Scout Pack (421); or Duluth First United Methodist Church (770-476-3776 - 3208 Duluth Highway 120, Duluth, Georgia 30096). Please use the Duluth First United Methodist Church for donations to either the church or the Girl Scout/Cub Pack. I work at McKesson. I was in a class with Trish and loved her sense of humor. She was very friendly. She was always talking about her family. Even though I was only around her a couple of days, she left a lasting impression. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Trish was my manager at Clarus. She was a wonderful person and an excellent manager who cared for the people who worked for her. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. The Mudgett family is in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Trish at Tymnet in the 1980's; I was Ann Smith then. I remember her sense of humor especially ... she put out a newsletter for our department called the Dailey Mudgett.
