Bruce L. Felder

UNION SPRINGS < Bruce L. Felder, 57, of Green Street, Union Springs, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at his home. Mr. Felder was born in Bridgeport, Conn., the son of the late Lawrence and Margaret Yansick Felder, and resided in Union Springs for the past 40 years. Mr. Felder was a graduate of Auburn Community College. He attended SUNY Potsdam and Louisiana State University, majoring in Chemistry. He was employed at the Auburn Foundry. Mr. Felder was an accomplished gardener; he enjoyed growing orchids and loved to spend time kayaking on Cayuga Lake. Surviving is his wife, Jeanne Carlson Felder, of Union Springs; one son, Michael L. Felder, of Union Springs; and one brother, Gary Felder, of Buxton, N.C. Friends are invited to attend funeral services at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Shakelton Funeral Home, 418 Main St., Aurora, with the Rev. Shelley Pantoliano, pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ of Union Springs, officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 4:30 p.m., prior to the service on Wednesday afternoon. Interment will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Union Springs, at the convenience of the family. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY, 41 York St., Auburn, NY 13021.
