Albert Ferro Obituary

AUBURN < Albert Ferro, 86, of 31 Wadsworth St., Auburn, formerly of Johnson"s Trailer Park, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at his home. Born in Auburn, he was the son of the late Emilio and Dolores Capriotta Ferro. Albert was a W.W.II Army Air Force veteran. He was employed as a supervisor for the former General Products in Union Springs. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Asissi and enjoyed fishing and boating on Owasco Lake. He also took pleasure in making movies of his family for all to share and he cherished the time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed. Surviving are a brother, Michael Ferro, of Auburn, and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews. Also surviving is a special friend, Pat Bishop and her nephews, Jim Reynolds. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his five brothers, Frank, Tony, Armond, Mario and Jim Ferro. Friends are invited to visit the family 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3 at Langham Funeral Home. Family prayers will be 9:15 a.m. Tuesday from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Asissi Church. Entombment will be in St. Joseph"s Mausoleum. Contributions may be sent to the Agnes Ferro Memorial Foundation, 7 Throop Ave., Auburn, NY 13021, or Auburn Rotary Club, P.O. Box 446, Auburn, in memory of Albert. I worked with AL at GP from 1978 until he retired. He was one heck of nice guy to work with. I remember once he asked Floyd Bushnell if he could make a wire cutter go faster. Floyd told him put a crank on it, it will go faster. Al just grinned and walked away. I know he will be missed by all
