She was a wonderful person and a great teacher. She taught my son how to knit (which is something I don't even know how to do yet). I was totally amazed that she did this! She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

I remember Luba from Tabir Cholodniy Yar when we both were camp counslers. We had some of the craziest fun times ever. We wre constantly laughing. As a result of our summer together we became good frinds and always happy to see each other. I am so saddened by the news of her passing away. I wish all of the family great strength to bear such a heavy tragedy. May God grant you peace and harmony. Vichnaya Pamyat to my dear, sweet smiley face Luba.

Dearest Lysiak and Droczak families,
I was deepely saddened by the news of Luba's passing. Luba and I became great friends during our summer years - growing up at CYM tabir, Cholodnij Yar. To those that new Luba, she has always held a warm place in all our hearts. Although we lost touch for more than 25 years, we recently reconnected over the last 2 years on our way from or to SuzyQ, taking my daughter Katya and Laryssa Droczak to dance camp. I am glad we had the chance to get together at Walt and Donna's home and reminisce. Your joy and zest for life was inspiring and your kind words deeply felt and will be remembered always. The picture you gave me from tabir way back when will be treasured. My sincere condolences to the entire family. Our prayers are with you all. Vichnaya Pamyat!

Luba's Family,
It was my good fortune to meet Luba while I was doing the Passport to History program at the fourth grades in Auburn Schools the last two years. I was in awe of Luba's determination, bravery and positiveness. Most of all, I admired her love for her students. It was easy to see that she expected their best from them. I had never met a teacher who taught her students how to knit! How cool was that? She was an uncommon woman who touched many people's lives in many wonderful ways. I'm so glad that she touched mine. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To Stefan and the Droczak family,
Our depest sympathy to all of you. Luba was a warm and caring person who spread her cheer and sunshine wherever she went. As neighbors,we will miss her wave and smile. Chet shared not only the Polish heritage with her but the "old" neighborhood and mutual friends. We had such a nice conversation with her a few weeks ago when she was outside with the dog one evening. Our neighborhood gatherings will not be the same. She is resting in peace and watching over all of us. God Bless and keep you in his care.

Stefan, Luba was like the ‘friendship’ cactus I shared with her and she shared with others. Able to withstanding the toughest of circumstances & still being able to flower with beauty and grace. She fought her illness with courage and dignity and now she has found peace. Keeping you in our thoughts and prays.

Dear Bereaved Family,
My wife and I have known Luba for more than thirty years. She was a wonderful girl! She always had a smile on her face, and a good word to say to everyone. I saw her in August at Cholodnij Yar. She told me that she was ill, yet she was extremely positive and brave. She was an example of courage. May she rest in peace in God's arm. We loved her and always will. She will be missed.
