Doris Gibb Obituary

SKANEATELES < Doris Andrea Gibb passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse. Doris was born in New York City on Sept. 11, 1932. She lived in Skaneateles most of her life. She lived some of her childhood in Denmark, where she spoke fluent Danish. She spoke often of her Danish relatives and background, and proudly displayed her favorite Danish pieces in her home. Doris attended Daycroft School in Greenwich, Conn. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling and in her later years enjoyed computerized graphics. She was predeceased by her husband of more than 40 years, David F. Gibb Jr. She is survived by her son, David F. Gibb III, of Chittenango; and two grandchildren, Kyler and Kelsey. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to Skaneateles Ambulance Volunteer Emergency Services (SAVES), 77 Fennell St., Skaneateles, NY 13152. I took care of Doris in the ER. She was a very pleasant person and I enjoyed her company. You could see the love she had for her son. My heart goes out to her family.
