It was with deep sorrow that I found out about our dear online friend's passing. Kathy was one of the founder members of the Photography Cafe and she will be missed greatly by our entire online community.
Kathy was a very hard working Administrator of the site and was continuously searching for chuckles, tidbits, quotes, and historical information for her wonderful "Coffee Counter" which we have now renamed "Kathy's Coffee Counter" in her memory.
Bernie and Stephen and Steve, my heartfelt sympathy to you all, as well as to Kathy's dear extended family, especially her nieces and nephews of whom she often spoke about.
With love,
Pat and Paul Halbach

Kathy and I had been email penfriends for many years and I was lucky enough to meet both Kathy & Steve on our visit to NYC some years ago. We went to a Mets game and had a great time. We loved to talk about our shared experiences of librarianship, about books and photography. She always spoke so lovingly of her close and happy family and her sweetheart Steve. Kathy was a rare soul: kind, loving, loyal and sincere. I will miss her very much and will remember her always with love. You, her family and friends, are very much in my thoughts and prayers.
With love,
Julie Mann & family,

Dear Steve and the Caruana family,
I just learnt of Kathy's passing this morning and wanted to send my condolences to you all. I knew Kathy through the Photography Cafe where she managed to make us laugh with her witty and detailed weekly coffee counters and through her blog where I got to see the world through her camera lens. It was a privilege to have known her.
I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
With love,

Dear Family:
It is with so much sadness that we will greet the many 'morrows, but also with great joy. For as we gaze into those tomorrows with our hearts open, we will know with a surety of faith, that can never be broken; our sister. Our daughter. Our friend. Our dearest love. Our Kathy has a most wonderful place in God's great house. So may our breath come peacefully and in unison for we know, our Kathy is in God's library where she will care forever, for the children and animals in heaven in much the same way she did on earth. With her one of a kind smile. Great patience & love. Let us not weep goodbye, let us whisper, " Until."
