Funeral services will be held at Bnai Jacob Shaarei Zion Congregation, 6602 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215, on Friday, December 5 at 9 A.M. Interment Har Tamir Cemetery, Jerusalem, Israel. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to Rabbi Joseph and Naomi Baumgarten Memorial Fund, c/o Bnai Jacob Shaarei Zion Congregation, 6602 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215. Rabbi Baumgarten officiated at my bar mitzvah in 1955 at the Beth Tfiloh Synagogue in Forest Park, and taught my class in its Hebrew School. I admired and respected him then and I am very sorry to learn of his passing.
