Harlan and my dad, Jim were very close as kids. Harlan would often relate tales about their growing up and the mischief they got into. He would call my dad, then my grandmother, then me and just talk about the old days, and how he would bounce my brother and me on his knee. I'll always remember the way he could make a piano shake with honky-tonk. I'm so sorry I can't be there for the service, but family obligations have proceeded my knowledge of the memorial. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family and loved ones. He will be missed!
