Mary Farley Obituary

Mary L. Farley Battle Creek Mary L. Farley, 92, of Battle Creek, died at Heartland Health Care Center on Sunday, August 10, 2008. She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan to Arthur and Elva (Holstead) Cline on September 16, 1915. Mary graduated from Lakeview High School. In 1981, she retired from the lab at Post Division of Kraft Foods, where she was employed for many years. Mary L. Cline married Leland R. Farley in LaGrange, IN on August 22, 1934. She was preceded in death by Leland, her husband of 62+ years, on July 18, 1997; by a son, Gary D. Farley in 1987; by a grandson, David L. Weller in 2007; a sister, Elva McKeown; and two brothers, Wendell and Wayland Cline. Surviving are her daughter, Marian J. (Lee) Weller of Battle Creek; a son, Arthur L. (Jan) Farley of Battle Creek; 5 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She attended Christ Bible Church. Mary went to the Y for over 50 years and was presented with a lifetime membership on her 90th birthday. She enjoyed taking trips, traveling with her family, doing crossword puzzles, and living with Austin and Amy Weller for the past several winters. Funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Randy Sebright in the chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Memorial contributions may be made to Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Care. Arrangements are by Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. in my Lite fitness class at the Y Center
for many years. We had a surprise birthday
party for her 90th. She was so special to all
