Floyd Hydon Obituary

Floyd Frank Hydon Sun City, AZ Floyd Frank Hydon, age 78, of Sun City, AZ, formerly of Olivet, MI, passed away August 8, 2008 in Sun City. He was born May 12, 1930 at the University Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI to Frank Hydon of Kalamo and Iola (Kerman) of North Adams. Floyd had just visited the Olivet area for the month of July to see family and friends and to celebrate his 60th high school reunion in which he was the Master of Ceremonies. In the 1950's through the mid-1970's Floyd Hydon was employed by Oliver's in Battle Creek and Aluminum Extrusions in Charlotte. He was also owner-operator of a milk route for Pet Milk in Charlotte. In the mid-1970's through the 1980's Floyd was a salesman for Peerless Pet Foods in Battle Creek. He then became the founder and CEO of Priceless Pet Foods. Floyd farmed over 50 years at the family farm in Olivet as well. He was a member of Ainger Bible Church where he taught Sunday School. Floyd is survived by his wife, Audrey Hydon. Also surviving are his two sons, Eric (Trish) Hydon of Marshall and Jeff (Brenda) Hydon of Charlotte and a daughter, Kathleen (Kevin) DeMott of Middlebury, IN. He had five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Three stepsons survive: Robert (Cathy) Roush of Olivet, Bill (Tammy) Roush of Bellevue and Larry Roush of Olivet, and one step-daughter, Jane (Dale) Bradley of Charlotte. His cousin, Dr. Richard Ryder of Long Beach, CA also survives. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 18, 2008 at the Ainger Bible Church, Olivet with Pastor Scott Brood officiating. Interment will be in the Hotchkiss Cemetery near Marshall. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ainger Bible Church or Hospice of Arizona. Envelopes available at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte.
