Michael Dyas Obituary

Michael J. "Mike" Dyas Jr. Battle Creek Michael J. "Mike" Dyas Jr., 38, of Battle Creek, died Monday, August 18, 2008 at his home. He was born September 23, 1969 in Battle Creek, the son of Michael J. Sr. and June A. (Olson) Dyas and was a graduate of Lakeview High School. He worked for M&M maintenance and drove tow trucks for Larges, retiring in 2005 due to health. On March 2, 1996 Michael J. Dyas Jr. married Suzanne P. Gooch in Battle Creek. In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by his daughter, Melissa L. Dyas of Battle Creek; two stepdaughters, Johnna M. Gooch of Battle Creek, Danielle L. Dowdy of Grand Rapids; father and stepmother, Michael J., Sr. and Ann Dyas; four sisters, Michelle R. (Matthew McKinley) Cole, Katrina (Jesse Bolden) Reeves, Kim Schwab, all of Battle Creek, Angela Brooks of Kalamazoo; special brother, Malcolm Cole of Battle Creek; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother. Mike attended the Church of Christ and was a big fan of University of Michigan and sports. A visitation will be held Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Personal remembrances may be made at www.farleyestesdowdle.com

Sorry to hear about your loss. Mike was good man. Every memory i have of him is of him smiling and yelling at "trina". Wish i could of been there to say goodbye.
