Geraldine M. Parks Springfield Geraldine M. Parks, 94, of Springfield and formerly of Augusta, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Evergreen Manor. Geraldine was born November 6, 1913 in Dowagiac, MI the daughter of Louis and Clittie (Norman) Squires. She worked at the Anchor Inn and the Corsiglias Restaurant in Kalamazoo. Geraldine M. Squires was united in marriage to Harold Parks March 18, 1930 in Augusta and he preceded her in death June 21, 1980. She is survived by sons Robert F. (Barb) Parks of Six Lakes, William H. (Phyllis) Parks of Wellston, Clifford R. (Ruth) Parks of Colon, Joseph Parks of Battle Creek, Jerry L. (Pat) Parks of Battle Creek, and a daughter, Ida (Keith) Cobb of Alexandria, VA, twenty-seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and one sister and brother. In addition to her husband, Geraldine was also preceded in death by a son, Harold Jr., daughter Linda Lou; two sisters, five brothers, and four grandchildren. She attended the Urbandale Baptist Church. At the request of the family, friends may call from 57 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2008 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Augusta Chapel. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the funeral home with Pastor Ronald Anderson officiating. She will be interred next to her husband at Augusta Cemetery.
