Regina Jones Obituary

Regina Gail (McAllister) (Andrews) Jones Regina Gail (McAllister) (Andrews) Jones passed away at her home Friday, August 28, 2008, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Ft. Payne, Alabama on September 22, 1948 to Robert and Louise (Belle) McAllister. She moved to Battle Creek when she was 17. Regina was married to Mr. Larry Andrews, who proceded her in death in 1992 and Mr. Kenneth R. Jones who proceded her in 2003. Regina enjoyed reading, doing ceramics and making porcelain dolls. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. In the 1970's, Regina was active in the PTA, assisted with the Girl Scouts and was a little league baseball coach. She worked for Meijer's from 1981 until 1986; was a manager at Summit Stationery from 1986 until 1993; and worked for Toys R Us from 1994 until her retirement in 2001. She was an active volunteer in the schools. Regina is survived by her children, Lana and Larry Andrews; stepchildren, Richard King, Gary Jones, Karen Walters and Dory Downs; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and her siblings David McAllister, Carolyn Notabartolo and Robert McAllister, II. She also leaves behind special friends, David and Di Kathy Smith, Jack Ebeling, Billy Argetsinger and Gretchen Osborne. In addition to her husbands, Regina was preceded by her parents and brother Mickey (Michael) McAllister. The family and friends will gather at her gravesite at Fort Custer National Cemetery on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice or to the Battle Creek Fire Department. The family is being served by Royal Funeral Home.
