Theodore J. "Ted" Flo Jr.

Theodore J. "Ted" Flo Jr. Battle Creek Theodore J. "Ted" Flo Jr., 83, of Battle Creek, died Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. He was born June 27, 1925 in Chicago, IL the son of Rev. Theodore J. "Ted", Sr. and Hannah (Rolfstad) Flo and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1943. He was a Flight Officer in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Ted worked at Eaton Corporation in Quality Control (New products division engineering) retiring in 1982 after 33 years. On September 11, 1949, Theodore J. "Ted" Flo Jr. was united in marriage to Nancy L. Walsworth by his father, the Rev. Theodore J. Flo Sr. in Battle Creek. In addition to his wife Nancy, of 59 years, Ted is survived by his son, Timothy (Cheryl) Flo, a daughter, Kristina Livingston, son-in-law Michael (Susan) Wissner, all of Battle Creek; eleven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Van White of Boyne City; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Caryl Wissner and his parents. He was a member of First Assembly of God. At the request of the family, friends may call between 6-8 p.m., Sunday, September 7th at the First Assembly of God for a family visitation. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 on September 8, 2008 at the church with Pastor Robert G. Muirhead officiating. Interment of cremains will be at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
