Elta Hepler Obituary

Elta L. Hepler Albion Elta L. Hepler, age 91, of Albion, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall. She was born December 4, 1916 in Albion to Harvey and Hattie Dunn. Elta graduated from Albion High School with the Class of 1935. On September 17, 1939, she married Howard J. Hepler who preceded her in death in 1991. She spent most of her life in Albion and spent winters in Florida. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, taking care of her home as well as her family. Survivors include: 1 daughter, Linda and John Monk of Homer; 1 son, Warren J. and Cecelia Hepler of Marshall; and 1 granddaughter, Melissa Monk of Homer. She was preceded in death by her husband; two children, Janice and George; and three brothers, Donald, Vernon and Edward Dunn. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 20, at Riverside Cemetery in Albion, with the Reverend Dee Hepler Bell officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, September 19, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion. In lieu of flowers, assistance with memorial contributions to Indiana Trail Camp for the Handicapped is available at the funeral home. www.kevintiddfuneralhome.com
