Martha Young Obituary

Martha A. Young Battle Creek Martha A. Young, 82, of Battle Creek, passed away after a lengthy illness, Sunday, September 14, 2008 while visiting relatives in Oklahoma. Martha was born December 26, 1925, in Marked Tree, Arkansas, the daughter of William E. and Kimmie (Duke) Leatherwood. Martha attended business college for two years and was employed by the former Security National Bank in Battle Creek. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Young in 1986, her brothers and sisters, and a nephew. She is survived by her nieces, Cindy (Jerry) Deutschendorf of Tuttle, OK, Peggy (Gerald) O'Brien of Marked Tree, AR and Billie Tacker of Harrisburg, AR. She also leaves her great-nieces, her special friend, John Golyar, and his daughter-in-law, Kathy Golyar of Battle Creek. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Royal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2008 at Royal Funeral Home. Interment will be at Floral Lawn.
