Mr. and Mrs. Edgerton, Joe and Kay lived across the street from us when our dad built our house on East Avenue North in 1953. Alex and Jessie were good friends with our folks, Donald and Alice Stine. We Stine girls, Laurie, Karen, Mickey and Carla have many fond memories of our accross-the-street neighbors.

Mrs. Edgerton had such a special laugh, it would be heard throughout the fellowship hall at church. She was our first choir director at Pennfield Presbyterian Church when we first started to meet in the old school house and continued to direct us when the new church building was built by Mr. Edgerton and our dad.

Jessie will be missed very much by us girls. She was there for us long past when our parents passed away.

Our heartfelt prayers and love go out to Joe and Kay and their families.

Dear Kay and Joe,
We wanted to express our sincere condolences on the passing of your mum. My dad, James Crockatt always spoke fondly of her and their times together, and we have great memories of our visits there in Battle Creek. My wife Deb and I were there just a few years ago and your mum was a great inspiration to us.
