It was so shocking and sad to see Mark's name in the paper. So young!

I've been gone from Battle Creek for so long that I haven't seen many people from school over the years. I still remember Mark as he was at Southwestern and Central--an amazingly talented swimmer and a beautiful blond kid with a great sense of humor. I still have a picture of him that I took at our Jr Hi graduation, with one of our favorite teachers--Marcia Graham. Sherry, Noel, and family--please accept my deepest condolences.

May you find peace and comfort in your memories. ml(at)tireswing.net ~Mary Lee (Hickman) Norris (now in Baldwin City, KS)

Dear Sherry,
I'm so sorry for your loss and the famlies. Blake and I have moved to Charlevoix Mi. and we read the paper on the net. I remember Mark with fond memories. He was part of the neighborhood gang. Please send my condolences to Noel and all the family. Mark was at my dads memorial and I think we saw you both at the Waterfront a few years ago. Again my heart goes out to you all. Sorry to hear about this. We still remember hanging out after Gary and Lorinda's wedding 2 years ago. Bon Fire and some choice beverages. We had a blast that night. Hope you have many of these memories.

Mark played a key role in my life. He was like a father to me and my brothers. He taught us simple things in life like, cooking, cleaning, and ironing. He was there everytime we got sick or hurt. He loved us kids like we were his own. The memories that I have of Mark will forever be in my heart. We love you Mark!!!
