David Wells Obituary

David J. "Dave" Wells Battle Creek David J. "Dave" Wells, 38, of Battle Creek, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 9, 1970 the son of John M. and Elaine M. (Kluska) Wells. Dave graduated from Gull Lake High School in 1988 and furthered his education, graduating from Western Michigan University with a BA in Business Administration in 1992. Dave is survived by his 2 children, Evan David Wells and Lily Elaine Virginia Wells, both of Kansas City, Missouri; his parents, John and Elaine Wells of Battle Creek; a sister, Jennifer Wells (Ken) Tomalka of Battle Creek; a niece and nephew, Amelia and Eli Tomalka; his aunt and Godmother, Monica J. Perliski of Florida; uncle, Frederic J. Kluska of Columbus, Indiana; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by an unborn brother, Michael Wells. Dave was fascinated by computers and was a true lover of cars, retaining as much knowledge as he could about any make and model. He used this knowledge to be successful in the Automobile Industry, most recently in management at the Firestone store in Jackson. Dave was also an outdoorsman and enjoyed golfing and hunting. At the request of the family, a memorial Mass to celebrate Dave's life will be held at the St. Philip Catholic Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Diabetes Association or your charity of choice. Arrangements were made by the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. Condolences to you Elaine on the loss of your son Dave.
I know how you loved your son and how sad the past several months have been for you and your husband and Dave's sister but especially for you.
Christianne I love you and I know that Dave's passing is hard for you.
Lily and Evan, your daddy loved you both more than you know.

I know our son, Evan, loves his Dad very much and always will. They shared a special bond between them no matter how much time had passed. I will make sure Dave's memory is never forgotten.
