Edward Allen Obituary

Edward Earl Allen Edward Earl Allen passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2008 in Hollywood, California, at the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. Ed was born June 27, 1948 the son of Earl Allen Jr. and Betty (Crane) Allen. He was a 1966 graduate of Harper Creek High School. After graduation Ed enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Vietnam veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. He made his home in the Los Angeles area. Ed enjoyed and followed all sports especially golf. He was surrounded with and enjoyed his many friends in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area of which he often referred to as his "second family." Ed is survived by two sisters, Bonnie (Mike) Ott and Mary (Mark) Starks of Battle Creek, He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Allen and Betty Johnston, and stepfather Bob Johnston. An End of Life Celebration was held in Hollywood on Thursday, September 11, 2008. A graveside memorial service will be held in Battle Creek at the Veterans National Cemetery with full military honors on Tuesday, September 30th at 11:00 a.m.
