Floyd Taylor Obituary

Floyd Robert Taylor Battle Creek Floyd Robert Taylor, 66, of Battle Creek, died Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the Battle Creek Health System. He was born in Watervilet, Michigan on July 18, 1942, the son of Harold and Etta (Moore) Taylor and was raised in Battle Creek by his uncle and aunt, George and Francis Dolloway. Floyd retired from Michigan Paperboard in 2007 after more than 30 years of faithful service. He had previously been employed by Levitt's. Floyd married his wonderful wife of more than 32 years, Donna L. Lake in Battle Creek on December 27, 1975; she survives. He is also survived by his 4 sons, Peter L. (Sindy) Taylor, Lee (Lyn) Taylor, Robert J. Taylor and Scott L. Taylor; his grandchildren who were so important to him, Teia, Tara, Tori, Peter, Mitchell and Mareisa; a special cousin, Peter (Mary) Dolloway; his half-brothers, Wayne Leslie, Harold Olney; and many other cousins, nieces and nephews. Floyd loved to ride his 1990 Honda Goldwing Trike until the time he became ill. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family, most especially his grandchildren whom he cherished. At the request of Floyd and the family, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the family. Arrangements were made by the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestes dowdle.com.

I know I haven't seen Floyd in a while but I still have them fun and interesting childhood memories, it was always fun to be around Floyd there was never a dull moment...we will really miss you Floyd!

my papa was one of the best, he will be missed very much, i think about him all the time. it still doesnt seem real, even though i know it is. i love him with everything i've got, it wont be hard but its alot easier knowing he is in a better place and doing great. thanks everyone.
