L.S. Angel Obituary

L.S. Angel Battle Creek L.S. Angel, 86, of Battle Creek, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2008 at Battle Creek Health System. He was born in Pikeville, Tennessee on June 2, 1922, the son of Leonard and Rissie (Smith) Angel. L.S. married the former Mayme Burdette in 1940 in Tennessee. She survives him. L.S. was a painting contractor and the owner of Angel's Painting. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed gardening. He also attended Bethel Baptist Church. L.S. is survived by his wife Mayme; sons, Bob Angel of Battle Creek and John (Rita) Angel of Tip City, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert, James and Phillip Angel; and two sisters, Maxielee and Vicki. He was preceded by his parents, son, Roger Angel, and daughters-in-law, Tandra Angel and Nancy Angel. Visitation for L.S. will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, from 5-7 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
