Duane Lee Walters, Jr. Battle Creek Mr. Duane Lee Walters, Jr., 61, of Battle Creek, MI, died Tuesday, July 01, 2008 at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock, TX. He was born November 13, 1946 in Hastings, MI the son of Duane Lee Walters, Sr. and Gladys Mae (Walker) Walters. Duane was employed for 30 years at Post Cereals in Battle Creek until retiring in 2002. He was previously employed at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center. Duane is survived by Wife of 42 years: Carol Lee (Toner) Walters; Mother: Gladys Mae (Walker) Walters; Sons: Duane Lee Walters III and David Lee Walters, all of Battle Creek; Brother: William David (Mil'ann) Walters of Hastings, MI; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father: Duane Lee Walters, Sr., and Grandparents: Clyde and Mable Walker and Flossie and John Walters. Duane was the founding member of the Battle Creek Area Bass Casters Assoc. He enjoyed working, fishing and making fishing rods. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008, 1:30 p.m. at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Pastor Orliss Terry of Dowagiac Missionary Baptist Church officiating.
